If you are dealing with an intestacy but need to check for a Will, or you hold a Will and are unsure if a more recent Will was made, our Missing Will Service can help.
Our comprehensive will search service assists in locating lost and unknown Wills. It takes approx. 30 days to complete and is pre-approved for Aviva Missing Will Insurance cover upon conclusion of the search.
The service includes:
Writing to all solicitors local to the deceased via post.
Checking with the deceased’s bank(s), building societies & accountants.
Contacting the Will writer members of the IPW and SWW.
Checking the Probate Registry of England & Wales Safe Custody Depository.
Searching the National Will Register Search.
Searching any relevant additional databases and contacting other professional bodies as necessary or as requested.

Missing Will Insurance Get started today
On completion of the Missing Will Service, we can apply for an Aviva insurance policy to cover against the possibility of a will being found after distribution. Missing Will Insurance will add to this protection and give you peace of mind.
This provides cover against the possible later discovery of a will which changes the estate distribution, without the need for repayment of inheritance(s) or bequests that have already taken place.
