At Finders, we believe in making a positive impact beyond our day-to-day work. This year, we’re proud to support two charities that do incredible things for communities across the UK: Vision 21, which champions sustainability and practical solutions for a greener future, and The Silver Line, which provides companionship and support to older people who may otherwise feel alone.

We plan to support our chosen charities through a series of internal fundraising and awareness raising activities. Our team will be organising company events such as themed charity days, friendly team challenges, and seasonal fundraising initiatives to help generate donations and spark meaningful conversations about the work these charities do. We’ll also be encouraging colleagues to get involved by sharing updates, taking part in activities, and finding creative ways to contribute.

Vision 21: Helping Communities Go Green

Vision 21 is all about sustainability. Based in Gloucestershire, they’re helping people live greener lives through practical, community-driven projects. From Repair Cafés (where broken items get a second life) to furniture reuse schemes that cut waste and help families in need, their work is hands-on and impactful.

And here’s something exciting: they’re building an EcoHub in Cheltenham, a space where people can learn about climate action and see sustainable tech in action. It’s a big step toward a cleaner, more resilient future.

This aligns perfectly with our own commitment to sustainability. We’re proud to hold ISO 14001 certification, which means we actively manage and reduce our environmental impact. Supporting Vision 21 is another way we live out those values.

The Silver Line: A Friendly Voice When It’s Needed Most

Loneliness is something many older people face, and The Silver Line is there to help. They run a free, 24/7 helpline for anyone over 55 who needs a chat, advice, or just a friendly voice. They also offer regular befriending calls, so people can build real connections over time.

This cause is close to our hearts because of the nature of our work. In probate genealogy, we often deal with cases where someone has passed away without a will, often with no close family or friends. It’s a stark reminder of how isolating life can be. Supporting The Silver Line means helping to prevent that isolation before it happens, ensuring older people feel connected and valued.

A Message from Our CEO, Simonne Llewellyn

“In our work, we often see the impact of isolation when someone passes away without family nearby. Supporting The Silver Line is our way of helping change that story, making sure more people have someone to talk to when it matters most. And with Vision 21, we’re backing practical steps toward sustainability, something we’re committed to as a growing company with ISO 14001 standards. Just like our business, these causes are about progress and creating opportunities for a better future. I’m proud that we’re part of that journey.”

As we move through the year, we’re looking forward to working together as a team to support these two brilliant charities. Every activity, every conversation, and every contribution helps make a difference. We’ll also be sharing our fundraising highlights, team involvement, and behind the scenes moments on our social media channels, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram. We’d love you to follow along and be part of the story as we support Vision 21 and The Silver Line throughout 2026.

Alongside our UK based charity partners, we’re also proud to support our Ireland focused chosen charities who play an equally important role in making a positive impact within the communities we serve. You can read more about our Ireland charity work in our dedicated blog here
